TGF Mermaid

Hi!

I've had this lovely digistamp from The Greeting Farm for a while, and finally I printed her out and tried to colour her. I also made a simple background with my Copics, and some circle stamps and white pigment ink. Not sure if I'm happy with it. :/ I liked the way the mermaid turned out, not so much the rest of the card. If I add anything else than a clean, white background, I suddenly feel like I have to add more and more embellishment, or else it feels like something is missing... I don't know. I think I prefer very clean & simple! :P This card feels like it got lost somewhere between clean & simple, and a "non CAS".


Anyway, here's a close up of the sparkly mermaid. :) (Her face doesn't look that splotchy IRL.)

Card avalanche...

"Du rokker" stamp set from Papirdesign. Dies from My Favorite Things and Spellbinder.

(A spinning wheel is called rokk in norwegian, and the sentence says "you rokk", sounding like "you rock".)

Dies from My Favorite Things, QuicKutz and Lawn Fawn. Not sure where the papers are from, got them in a Simon Says Stamp kit.

I made the background with distress ink pads and a blending tool. Stamped white dots with pigment ink. Sentiment from Simon Says Stamp. Enamel dots from Doodlebug. I also used a die from Blueprints 14, from My Favorite Things. Love this die, and use it a lot!

Not sure where the paper and sentiment is from, it's in norwegian and says "miss you".

Farm Fresh Friday challenge

Here's my entry for the Paper Piecing challenge over at The Greeting Farm blog.

I have used Hello Ian from The Greeting Farm. 

His hat is paper pieced. 

The papers are from the Rustic stack by DCWV. 

I have colored Ian with my Faber-Castell pencils. 

The tag is from QuicKutz, and the tiny hearts on the tag is from the Katie Skinni Mini alphabet, also by QuicKutz. 

I used the QK Diamond single die, and folded the diecuts in half over a piece of Scrappers floss, to make the banner.

The text is from Norsk Stempelblad.

The adorable border punch with hearts and scallops is from Søstrene Grene.

Garden Variety Tuesday challenge

Here's a card I made for a sketch challenge over at The Greeting Farm blog. :)

I've used the super cute deer from the Forest Friends set from The Greeting Farm.

Just for fun, I coloured it with a gel pen with glitter, and used water to paint over the ink. I think it worked out very well! You don't always need expencive markers or paints to get a fun result! :)

The paper is from my Minds Eye, and the text stamp is from Norsk Stempelblad. The diecuts in the corners are made with an old Cuttlebug die.


(I couldn't get the colours right in the photo, but this is the best I could do. Just imagine it looks a little bit prettier.. ;) )

One layer cards

My energy levels are quite low at the moment, and one layer cards are perfect for taking my mind off things and being a little creative for a short time, without too much work. They're all made out of Bazzill Kraft, stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa, and colored in with Derwent and Faber-Castell pencils. I also added KaiserCraft pearls.

Here's one with the same stamp as my red, white & blue card, Miss Anya from The Greeting Farm. I wanted to use the same stamp, but with a totally different look. The text is from Darcies Country Folk. The white dots on the umbrella is made with a Sakura Gelly Roll pen. I've tried loads of different white pens, and this is my favourite.

This is an old Penny Black stamp, called Lovin' & Huggin'. The text is from Ankas Design. 

This cute stamp from Sugar Nellie is called Bear Hug. The text is from Ankas Design.

This is a card I made for the Farm Fresh Friday~~RED, WHITE, BLUE + RIBBON! challenge.

I'm also entering the Passion for Promarkers challenge, week 206, where the theme is “use the colours of your  flag”
I live in Norway, and the norwegian flag is red, white and blue. :)

Miss Anya

This is Miss Anya, from the Rain Snow Shine stamp set from The Greeting Farm. I've colored her with Promarkers. The papers and snowflakes are from the Colorful Christmas collection from My Minds Eye (2009). The text stamp is from Papirloftet. I've used distress ink on the edges. I've also used Stickles on the circle and on the snowflakes.

Friday Sketchers 63

Here's my card for
challenge #63 at Friday Sketchers. :)




I've used the new digistamp Birthday Boy Ian from The greeting Farm. I have colored Ian with my Promarkers. I also added some stickles to the ribbons on top of his presents, to add some sparkle. :)
The text Hurra! is from Anka's Design.
I covered the chipboard star with Bazzill, stamped the text, drew some stiches and covered it with Diamond Glaze.

Lenge siden sist!

Huff, over en mnd siden jeg har postet noe her! På tide å oppdatere litt! Tror jeg tar denne posten på norsk. :)

Var med på en utfordring på scrapping.no om å male stempeltrykk, og jeg var så heldig å vinne! Fikk en flott premie, så da lagde jeg et takkekort og sendte avgårde.



Jeg har først stemplet det lille treet på et ensfarget mønsterark fra Basic Grey, og stemplet rundinger i forskjellige grønnfarger oppå, og tegnet prikker rundt noen med brun Promarker. Treet er fra Purple Onion Designs.
Hovedmotivet er fra Forest Friends plata fra The Greeting Farm. ♥
Har i tillegg brukt filtblomster og filtbokstaver, cookie cutter dies fra QuicKutz og bølgepapp. Hovedmotivet er fargelagt med Promarkers.

Nå har jeg funnet fram symaskinen og sydd meg en veske, og kjøpt meg strikkepinner og begynt å strikke
Crankypants! Blir spennende å se resultatet, siden jeg aldri har strikket etter mønster før! :P

Den er sydd av brun cordfløyel, etter eget mønster.

Ugla er også egendesignet. :P

Today I got the Forest Friends stamps in my mailbox! Love these stamps!! :D

I've had fun coloring the images this evening, and I've already made a card with one of them.



I've colored the owl with my Promarkers.

New Anya card ♥

I've made a new card using my Miss Anya stamp. ♥











I painted Miss Anya with Distress reinkers.
The tag is stamped with an ornamental stamp from Panduro and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I then painted it with some pink paint. When the paint was dry, I added some distress ink around the edges.

The text "Til konfirmanten" is from Kort i hodet.

On the inside I made a small pocket to put money in. The text on the pocket is from Kreativ Hobby. The lovely lace is from Papirloftet. ♥
I used a stamp from Fancy Pants to make the heat embossing behind the pocket.
