STAMPtember Concord&9th challenge

Hi!

It's been forever since I posted.
I don't know what to say, life has been hard. Crazy hard.

Anyway, here's a card I've made today, with the Concord & 9th  Mix Tape stamp set.
I LOVE this stamp set, and using the Hero Arts Ombre ink pad might have been the best thing I've done this week, or year, to be honest! Lol! (Note to self, I need more Ombre pads! )

Sorry about the retro filter, but I was in a 80's mood, all the way!

Party like it's 1989!

Ok. I'm exhausted just by writing this short post, and uploading the pic.

Here's the challenge I'm entering, over at the Simon Says Stamp blog.

Thank you for visiting!

Miss you

This cute bunny is from Mama Elephant, it's from a stamp set called Pix's Favorites.
I knew I wanted the bunny to look at a starry night sky from the moment I saw this set!

I paired it with the Seeing Stars set from Simon Says Stamp. I think it's a perfect match!
I also love the Inkylicious Ink Dusters! They make it so easy to blend ink, and to get a nice soft look! No hard edges and lines, like I would get from the foam blending tool.

If you've ever been outside in the winter, when it is freezing, you know how the snow sparkles like it has glitter and diamond dust in it. I wanted to give the impression of a really cold winter night, so I added some glitter glue to the snow. (It looks much better IRL than on this picture... Very hard to get a good photo of glitter!)

Supplies:
Stamps: Pix's Favorites from Mama Elephant, and Seeing Stars from Simon Says Stamp.
Ink: Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky and Chipped Saphire Distress Ink, Versamark and Versafine.
Dies: My Favorite Things Blueprints 13, and Simon Says Stamp Stitched Slopes and Hills.
Other: Fine detail clear embossing powder, Ink Dusters, foam tape, MISTI, glitter glue, and Copic Sketch markers.

Thank you for visiting!

Little Tangles, Challenge 78 Rainbow

Hi!

Here's my first Little Tangles entry. Had to join the rainbow challenge, I love rainbows! :D

I used the Neat and Tangled Scandinavian Prints stamp set.
First I cut out small circles and heat embossed flowers on them. I then painted them "sloppy watercolor style" (LOL ) using Twinkling H2O's. I also stamped leaves, and fuzzy cut them.

The rainbow panel is made with distress inks and Ink Dusters, and then I sprinkled some water on and let it dry.

The sentiment, one leaf, and 2 of the flowers are mounted on 3D foam tape.

Supplies:Stamps: Neat and Tangled Scandinavian Prints.
Other: Distress inks, Ink Dusters, dies from MFT and Spellbinders, 3D Foam tape, Green Apple and Evergreen Simon Says Stamp ink, Versamark and Versafine ink, Clear embossing powder, and my MISTI.

Have a nice day! :)

Quick MISTI trick for narrow stamps. (I LOVE my MISTI! )

Hi!

Just wanted to share this quick tip. :)

Very narrow stamps, like flower stems, balloon strings etc. can be a bit tricky. If you position them on the paper, the stamps will fall over, and you can't just pick it up with the MISTI lid. Trying to find the perfect position for the stamp by moving it around until it's in the right place can take a little time. But with this trick, it's super easy to place the stamp in the perfect position.

1. Thin stamps fall over to the side, so it's hard to pick it up with the MISTI lid.

2. Put the stamp aside for a few seconds.
Close the MISTI and place a post it note on the outside of the lid, in the exact spot you want your
stamp. Make sure you place the top of your post it where you want the top of the stamp.

3. Open the MISTI. Align your stamp with the post it. Easy peasy!

5 & 6. Ink up your stamp, and be amazed by your creation! ;)

The stamps are from the Scandinavian Prints stamp set, by Neat and Tangled.
(The cards I made is coming soon. :) )

Sunny birthday card for a child

A birthday card probably best suited for a very young child. :)

Christmas stamps for a summer themed birthday card, because why not? :P
(Also because I had all of these things lying on my desk, not knowing what to do with them... Lol! )

Supplies:

My Favorite Things: Cloud Cover-Up, Blueprints 13 (Cut in half with another die, to make the hills.)
Avery Elle: Kitsch Christmas stamps and dies.
Lawn Fawn: Spring Showers.
Simon Says Stamp: Stitched Slopes & Hills, white, green and blue cardstock.
Other: Copic Sketch markers, MISTI, enamel hearts from MME, and Gratulerer med dagen from Norsk Stempelblad.

Dear Mom

Yet another CAS card. Almost a one layer card. ;)

I think this stamped image is so beautiful, I didn't want to add anything else, except a small sentiment that says Dear Mom in Norwegian.

I've stamped the image with Versamark, and embossed with clear embossing powder, and coloured it with my Copic Sketch markers. I'm not sure if this will harm my markers, but I couldn't see anything happening to the embossed lines, or the markers, so I took the chance. (I've heard that clear embossing powder is fine, but coloured will "melt" and ruin the marker. Not sure if that's true.)

Supplies:

Stamps: Mother & Child, from Whiff Of Joy, and Kjære mamma from Norsk Stempelblad.
Cardstock: White cardstock from Simon Says Stamp, and Desert Storm from Neenah.
Other: Versamark ink, clear detail embossing powder from Simon Says Stamp, Blueprints 13 from My Favorite Things, Copic Sketch markers, and my MISTI.

Have a nice day! :)

TGF Mermaid

Hi!

I've had this lovely digistamp from The Greeting Farm for a while, and finally I printed her out and tried to colour her. I also made a simple background with my Copics, and some circle stamps and white pigment ink. Not sure if I'm happy with it. :/ I liked the way the mermaid turned out, not so much the rest of the card. If I add anything else than a clean, white background, I suddenly feel like I have to add more and more embellishment, or else it feels like something is missing... I don't know. I think I prefer very clean & simple! :P This card feels like it got lost somewhere between clean & simple, and a "non CAS".

Anyway, here's a close up of the sparkly mermaid. :) (Her face doesn't look that splotchy IRL.)

Supplies:

Stamps: Mermaid digistamp from The Greeting Farm, Lots of dots from Simon Says Stamp, and a sentiment from Else Irene Meling.
Cardstock: Simon Says Stamp white cardstock, and Perfect Colouring Paper by Holtz.
Other: Copic Sketch markers, white gel pen by Sakura, pearls, Versafine Onyx Black, and Stickles. I also used a die from My Favorite Things, and my MISTI.
